I'm here with some tips and tricks for healthier travel, y'all!
1. Stay extra hydrated!
By drinking as much water as possible, it will prevent you from bloating, help you decrease inflammation, and increase your energy.
2. Pack meal prep snacks!
Bring as many healthy snacks on the plane with you as possible. This will not only help you stay healthy, it'll help you save money... Because we all know traveling is expensive as it is!
3. Focus on protein and healthy fat intake!
IF you're going to buy snacks at the airport, focus on getting in more protein and fats, as compared to carbs. This will help you stay satiated.
4. Get movement in whenever possible!
Y'all, I highly recommend this. Don't take the moving walkway! Also, grab an isle seat so you can stand up during your flight.
Also, I recommend scheduling your workout for the end of the day, after your travels. This will help you decrease inflammation and reset your body.

Y'all, it is totally possible to have your cake and eat it too!
AKA have a social life and be healthy!
Your social life does NOT have to work against your health goals...
It’s all about making intentional choices about what YOU want and what will make YOU feel best... As compared to making decisions out of fear, social pressure, comparison or emotion.
1. Decide beforehand what you’ll order and how many drinks you’ll have!
This will help you make productive decisions and avoid temptation.
2. Be preemptive about eating well and hydrating!
Happy hours tend to be higher in carbs, so have more healthy fats, protein, and carbs with more fiber leading up to your happy hour. And drink water like it's your job!
3. Don’t sweat the drink choice too much!
If you’ll be having multiple drinks, picking a low calorie, low sugar option may make you feel better. But you don’t always have...
1. Recognize that we can have self-love AND fitness goals!
Y'all, we can simultaneously love, appreciate, and value our bodies while wanting to improve ourselves.
It's about finding peace at every stage of the journey. Valuing and celebrating your body in your current season will help you think LESS about any "destination" or number on a scale. It'll free to you think MORE about enjoying the journey and being in the present moment.
2. Prioritize self-care!
If you prioritize self-care and set other goals for yourself that make you feel special, present, and confident, again, you’ll start to focus LESS on the number on the scale and MORE on how valued you feel!
You’ll start to recognize that YOU can make YOURSELF happy! And in ways that aren’t tied to weight loss...
3. Find clothes that fit and flatter YOUR body shape!
I feel the most confident when I DON'T wear what I think I “should” wear... I feel the...

It took me a long time to find food freedom, y'all...
Eating food gave me so much anxiety, that I would only allow myself to eat white rice and chicken. I avoided everything else.
Literally, I was afraid to eat BROCCOLI! So there was no way I was going to let myself eat a donut...
Fast forward two years, and here I am!
I now give myself permission to eat whatever I desire. And best of all, I'm no longer anxious about food! Food doesn't consume me. I've learned to choose foods with INTENTION rather than being led by emotions, cravings, fear or social pressure.
There were a lot of steps I took that got me to this place; but the first step was to take the morality out of food...
I stopped labeling foods as "good" or "bad," because I would start to associate myself as a "good" or "bad" person if I would eat those foods.
So to separate my self-worth from food, I started labeling food differently!
I now have "frequent foods" and "less frequent...

Y'all, here are 5 ways to practice self-care... That aren’t face masks and bubble baths!
When people think of self-care, they typically associate it with their skin care routine or having a glass of wine. And while those can definitely be forms of self-care, there are so many other ways to really take a deep dive into yourself.
It’s all about what you do to care for YOU!
So self-care can include:
At Be About Being Better we work with so many busy, high-achieving people that struggle toput themselves first. People know self-care is important, but it’s hard to prioritize it! And they know that they don’t show up or perform as well when they pour from an empty pitcher...

This is for you if your HAPPINESS DEPENDS ON THE NUMBER ON THE SCALE...
Disclaimer: There are SO MANY reasons why our weight fluctuates. It’s always beneficial to get evaluated by a professional so that you understand why your weight isn't budging and how you can work with that.
But here are a few potential reasons the scale spikes or doesn't change... (and it’s not because you gained fat back)!
If you stepped on the scale this morning and the number jumped up, have no fear!
Before you start the negative self-talk, know that our bodies fluctuate and that's normal. There are common and logical reasons why the scale spikes up a bit, and they essentially all stem from the level of water retention in your body.
They are...
You ate more salt than usual
You ate more carbs than usual
You ate later than usual
You got less sleep than usual
You weighed in at a different time
You’re dehydrated
You need to, ya know...
You’re stressed
You lifted heavy...

^That’s THAT girl.
The problem is most people don’t know how to become THAT girl... Or stay THAT girl...
Y'all, I work with so many women approaching their 30's who still haven’t been able to step into the best version of themselves.
So, what's the problem?
Consistency...
Motivation...
Knowing where to start...
...are the three most common barriers!
This is exactly what I help clients with!
It takes time, but it starts with ONE action step... One action step that you know THAT girl would take...
