How to NOT feel guilty eating donuts!

It took me a long time to find food freedom, y'all... 

Eating food gave me so much anxiety, that I would only allow myself to eat white rice and chicken. I avoided everything else. 

Literally, I was afraid to eat BROCCOLI! So there was no way I was going to let myself eat a donut... 

Fast forward two years, and here I am!

I now give myself permission to eat whatever I desire. And best of all, I'm no longer anxious about food! Food doesn't consume me. I've learned to choose foods with INTENTION rather than being led by emotions, cravings, fear or social pressure. 

There are a lot of steps I took that got me to this place, but the first step was to take the morality out of food... 

I stopped labeling foods as "good" or "bad" because I would start to associate myself as a "good" or "bad" person if I would eat those foods... 

So to separate my self-worth from food, I started labeling food differently!

How to stop tying your self-worth to the number on the scale!

This is for you if your HAPPINESS DEPENDS ON THE NUMBER ON THE SCALE...

Disclaimer: There are SO MANY reasons why our weight fluctuates. It’s always beneficial to get evaluated by a professional so that you understand why your weight isn't budging and how you can work with that.

But here are a few potential reasons the scale spikes or doesn't change... (and it’s not because you gained fat back)!

If you stepped on the scale this morning and the number jumped up, have no fear! 

Before you start the negative self-talk, know that our bodies fluctuate and that's normal. There are common and logical reasons why the scale spikes up a bit, and they essentially all stem from the level of water retention in your body.

We hear all the time that we need to “get in touch with and listen to our hunger cues." But no one tells us how to do that, or what to listen for...

Hunger can manifest in a bunch of different ways, so it’s important to become an expert in your own body.

You may be hungry if you feel…

  • Tired
  • Lightheaded
  • Unable to focus
  • Unproductive
  • Low energy
  • Irritable
  • Distracted
  • Weak/Shakey
  • Have a headache

If your stomach is growling, it's likely you've missed one of these cues.

How to survive the 3 o'clock slump!

Y’all know what I’m talking about, right?

That moment in the day, usually around 3 o’clock, when you need another cup of coffee or you’ll fall asleep on your desk… 

Well, here’s a hint… coffee won’t help! 

Here’s 3 healthy things you can do during your 3 o’clock slump:

  1. Go for a walk! If it’s possible for you, get outside, shift your posture and get a change of scenery. Taking a moment away from your desk will clear your head and give you the reset you need to get MORE done in the afternoon. (And in less time!)
